A message to our guests, friends, and family
In the wake of Hurricane Milton and Helene’s impact, it is with great sadness that we announce the temporary closure of Manasota Key Resort. Manasota Key Resort, along with the entire key and off island areas, received significant damage from Hurricane Milton and Helene.
Time to Process
We know we’ve been socially silent after Hurricane Helene and Milton, but just like our resort, we are devastated. We needed some time to process and assess the extent of the destruction.
Thank You for Reaching Out
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our gracious and loyal guests who have reached out to see how we were following the hurricanes and we appreciate each and every one of you.
Our Team is Safe
Most importantly, our team is safe. Our gratitude extends to the selfless first responders, utility workers, and community volunteers for their unwavering compassion, dedication, and bravery who have provided essential support in the aftermath of the storm.
#EnglewoodStrong
Although we are deeply heartbroken, we will rebuild Manasota Key Resort and restore our little piece of paradise. Our heart goes out to our incredible community and the people who are a part of it.
Family Owned Through Multiple Generations
In the 1950s, the Weston Family ran the resort as Weston’s Resort, then the Asselstine family purchased the resort in 2011, renaming the resort Weston’s WannaB Inn and now The Vernon Family continues generations of beach and bay family vacation as Manasota Key Resort.
Closed until Further Notice
Manasota Key Resort will continue to remain closed until further notice and we will post updates as we recover. Our team will reach out to our guests with reservations in the days ahead.
Our Deepest Appreciation
Thank you all so much for your patience as we navigate through this difficult time.
With love,
Christopher, Eileen & The Vernon Family
#englewoodstrong
